2nd Line IT Support Technician
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum plus benefits
Location: Hope Valley
Reporting to: Group IT Manager
Role: Permanent Full Time and based onsite 5 days per week
Vitreus Talent is working on behalf of a well established organisation to recruit a 2nd Line IT Support Technician for one of their sites based in the Hope Valley. This is a standalone, onsite role that plays a vital part in ensuring smooth day to day IT operations while being supported by a wider Group IT function.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Support Technician who enjoys hands on technical support and wants to be the single person onsite for all IT related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support across a range of hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, tablets, audio visual equipment, printers, and connectivity issues.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Administer Active Directory, including user account management and group policies.
- Maintain and support Windows 10/11 environments, including device imaging and updates.
- Assist with cloud platform tools such as Intune, Azure AD, and Endpoint Manager.
- Install and configure new hardware and software as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous IT service improvements.
- Occasionally support other sites within the organisation when required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in a similar IT support role, ideally covering both 1st and 2nd line responsibilities.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud-based tools.
- Logical problem-solver with a hands-on, proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Confident working independently while being part of a wider support structure.
- Excellent communication and prioritisation skills.
- A full UK driving licence is essential for occasional travel.
Recruitment Process:
